This report is a public disclosure of the quality of care provided by hospitals and surgeons performing coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) surgery in California during 2005 and 2006. It is the fourth heart bypass surgery report developed by the Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development (OSHPD) covering all of California's 121 state licensed hospitals where this procedure is performed and is the second report to detail results for all 284 responsible surgeons who performed the surgery.
